Keeping Children Safe in Education
At Hatchside School, we place the utmost importance on the Safeguarding of our pupils and therefore, we have rigorous and robust safeguarding and child protection procedures, including the Prevent Duty and staff awareness of FGM, and work closely with many agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of all our pupils, their families and staff.
All staff and Governors hold enhanced safeguarding (DBS) checks as part of our rigorous safer recruitment procedures.
All staff are trained in safeguarding and prevent. We provide regular updates to keep staff up to date with current and localised issues, including contextual issues related to Redbridge and the surrounding areas.
The Head of School and Deputy Head are trained to Designated Safeguarding Lead level.
